I work hard at health, fitness & nutrition. I work out primarily at home and share with you what I do, how I do it, what motivates me & what inspires me. I get into the nitty gritty of my trials & tribulations, barriers & obstacles. And when I realize a success, hard-won or otherwise, you'll be the first to know about it!

If you're worried about going to bed hungry, just go from dinner to dinner the next day for your fast. I've been doing EatStopEat for a little over a month now and it's been working great.

yah, some can do that, I used to be able to when I was a teenager. Not anymore. I don't think I can do a whole DAY full of fasting but I can definitely go longer than three hours, and usually longer than that even when I first wake up... so we'll see how it goes. This book is really interesting, lots of contradictory points to what you just said, and some research to back it up. A definite interesting read. I'm still waiting to decide what my final conclusion is. Thanks for the comment!

Hmm, I am not quite so sure that the fasting thing is the best option. Seems as though it would start to mess around with your metabolism especially if you start skipping a day without food.

As you also mentioned it seemed as though you would have a lot less energy to get yourself throughout the day. I just don't see it actually working considering I've always read that small meals throughout the day is the way to go since it keeps your metabolism up and all that good stuff.

But then again, I've always been able to eat whatever kind of food I wanted and never have to worry about gaining any weight whatsoever. Meaning it's somewhat difficult for me to understand why people need to be so regimented on counting their calorie intake. I would always just eat whatever I wanted and I would pretty much never go over 185lbs so I am lucky in that department.

Although I am interested in hearing how it works out for you both for weight loss and energy levels.
