I'd be shocked if Google Reader was the problem. Although I'm relieved to hear that you can see it ok. Maybe its my browser (Flock). I use the RSS reader that is integrated into Opera (the browser I use) and it has no problem showing that widget. I have some other RSS feeds where the authors write stuff like "If you're reading this in your RSS reader, click here to watch the video" but I can see it directly in the reader anyway. So the problem might not be on your side but just a problem of some readers not being able to display some advanced features. I think it might depend on the RSS reader.
