I work hard at health, fitness & nutrition. I work out primarily at home and share with you what I do, how I do it, what motivates me & what inspires me. I get into the nitty gritty of my trials & tribulations, barriers & obstacles. And when I realize a success, hard-won or otherwise, you'll be the first to know about it!

WOW JAY!!!! You lost ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY LBS?!! CONGRATULATIONS!! that's totally awesome!! good work!!!

and yes, my point was that its ok to do cardio two days in a row, even every day. When I was first dropping my weight, I walked 2 hours a day, every day, rain or shine... and I got myself into some damn huge downpours a few times too!! LOL... its the weight training of the SAME muscle groups that you really SHOULD give your self a full day inbetween for recovery.

and yup... working out and being active is DEFINITELY addictive!! thanks for making that point!! :-)
thanks for the comment. you rock!

I do cardio after every workout regardless of the muscle group. When I was losing my 170 lbs, I would do 100 minutes days a week but on the other 4 I would keep it to 40-60 minutes. Some times I owuld do a 9-10 stretch before the body just enough is enough and i would take a Sunday off. Now I average 25 minute walk at lunch followed by 50 minutes moderate to intense cardio after my lifts but it is 2 days on 1 day off. i still walk on my off day just so I don't stiffen up too bad. Probably still over training but it is addicting.
