I work hard at health, fitness & nutrition. I work out primarily at home and share with you what I do, how I do it, what motivates me & what inspires me. I get into the nitty gritty of my trials & tribulations, barriers & obstacles. And when I realize a success, hard-won or otherwise, you'll be the first to know about it!

I agree with you about the straps getting in the way of supersets but am a little confused how they don't fit with dumbells, unless the handgrip is small. As for the sore wrists I can see how the straps might lead to sorer wrists. And yes the cruise is wall to wall food.

thanks Darren. Its hard to use wrist straps when you're using dumbbells, there's not really any room to put them AND your hands. I also like to do supersets and move very quickly between exercises so wrist straps would only slow me down. Plus I do seem to get sore wrists pretty fast so not sure if that wouldn't make it worse. What do you think??

Good luck with the cruise. I know that would be a toughie for me. Aren't those things wall to wall food? LOL

thanks Kim. maybe that's why the pushups hurt more than the stuff involving grip work. Its still the same today. The bruises are mostly gone tho, still slightly yellow on the middle knuckle (the one with the most pain). Still waiting on time to do its thing!!

thanks for the comment!

Hey believe it or not I got to see your latest vlog, took forever to load but I saw it. It got me to thinking, and you may already know this but I will put it out there anyway. Why not try using wrist straps when you are lifting? They will take most of the pressure off of your hands and put on the wrists, unless of course your are doing presses then well it just is what it is.

As for cheat days I have a week long coming up at the end of the month, I am going on a cruise. I have promised myself to go the gym as to not break my routine but who knows how I will feel, I will be on vacation after all.

Hope your finger gets better soon, I may have to have my shoulder looked at if the pain isn't gone by next week.
Remember that no matter where you go, there you are.

Just watched your vlog, yes I got to watch it took for ever to load but watched it none the less. I know you probably already know this but is you use straps when you are lifting it will take the pressure of your hands and put it on your wrist so can use a little less of grip. My cheat night, I mean week is going to start on June 25th. Going on a cruise, I say I will go to the gym every morning but will see. That's it for now.

Hi,

Thanks for another inspiring vlog. I agree there is little point in seeing Dr for finger as even if it's broken he'll only strap it to the adjacent finger as it is still in alignment.

As curly it isn't so bad but stretching is worse it may be ligament damage. Worst thing about that is ligaments are poorly supplied with blood so fairly slow to heal.

Do you use Aloe Vera gelly. It hasn't got chemicals in and promotes healing so it might help ease the bruising, it is also slightly analgesic.

The weather is slightly less sunny here today but was fantastic for running.

Have a great week and hope the finger improves soon,

Kim
